to lead our dynamic marketing team at our Brea, CA location. The ideal candidate will have grown from a
performance/marketing data analyst
background, with strong experience in
advertising operations
and hands-on execution. This role requires a strategic leader who excels in data-driven decision-making, budget management, and driving growth through paid channels, SEO, and email/SMS marketing campaigns. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Develop and Execute Digital Strategy : Lead the development and implementation of a cohesive digital marketing strategy that aligns with overall business goals and objectives. Lead Paid Performance Team : Manage the paid performance marketing team, overseeing PPC, display advertising, social media advertising, and other paid channels. SEO Strategy : Oversee and refine SEO strategies to enhance organic search rankings, increase website traffic, and optimize conversions. Email and SMS Campaigns : Plan and execute targeted email and SMS marketing campaigns to engage customers, increase retention, and drive revenue. Data-Driven Insights : Monitor and analyze performance metrics across all digital channels, providing regular reports to senior management and optimizing strategies based on data insights. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with
content ,
design , and
product
teams to ensure a unified and integrated approach to digital marketing efforts. Trend Awareness : Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices, ensuring our digital marketing strategies remain innovative and competitive. Budget Management : Manage the digital marketing budget (~$10M+), ensuring optimal resource allocation and maximizing ROI across all paid channels. Team Leadership : Mentor and develop a high-performing digital marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth. REQUIREMENTS : MUST-HAVE : DTC Experience : Proven experience working with
direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands , driving growth through digital marketing strategies. Growth Strategies Expertise : Led
growth marketing strategies , including
go-to-market (GTM)
strategies and other growth tactics. Team Management : Experience leading and managing a team of 5-6 people, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly in
branding ,
creative , and
web teams . Budget Management : Managed significant marketing budgets (~$10M+), driving a
4-5x ROI , correlating to revenue growth of $40-50M. Campaign Execution : Hands-on experience executing campaigns across all paid channels, including
Google Ads ,
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ,
Affiliates , and others, with a focus on budget allocation and optimization. Data-Driven Decision Making : A strong
data-driven mindset , able to analyze and interpret data to identify challenges and opportunities, set performance benchmarks, and apply insights to refine strategies. NICE-TO-HAVE : Branding Strategy : Ability to provide strategic guidance for branding initiatives, including product persona development, positioning, and PR content creation. Industry Experience : Preferably experience in
action sports
or
high-ticket consumer electronics . Omnichannel Experience : Background in companies with an
omnichannel
approach (DTC + B2B) and a focus on DTC. QUALIFICATIONS : Education : Bachelor’s degree in
Marketing ,
Business , or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred. Experience : 5+ years of experience in
digital marketing , particularly with a focus on
paid performance ,
SEO , and
email/SMS marketing . Growth Success : Proven track record of successfully developing and executing growth strategies, driving sales, and customer acquisition. Leadership : Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team.
