Overview
CD Peacock is looking for a Social Media Manager to take its social media presence to the next level. The position will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications.
About the Role
In this role, you will develop a strategic plan to drive forward CD Peacock’s following and engagement rates across multiple social channels, using a comprehensive understanding of the CD Peacock brand, its target market, overall vision, plus our partner vendor’s requirements for our channels. The role will cover Facebook and Instagram as well as any additional platforms that may be identified as relevant.
Strategy & Creative
- Artfully weave together creativity with analytical thinking to develop and deliver a social media strategy that achieves brand, marketing, and sales objectives.
- Safeguard and grow social media channels by building awareness while breaking through with trends and exciting new content.
- Analyze social media data from a business and creative perspective to understand what our audience responds to and how.
- Develop content ideas and recommendations and then bring them to life, based on data and a deep understanding of our audience and brand as well as strong content creation skills.
- Create thoughtful, innovative, informative, and entertaining content for CD Peacock that aligns with marketing objectives.
- Craft & edit copy for all social channels while working closely with the marketing team.
- Identify social media content trends and cultural moments that CD Peacock could participate in.
- Lead the development of strategies and objectives for building and executing year-round brand engagement through influencers and partnerships which could come to life on social media.
- Align internal and external partners swiftly and timely on content and strategic directions for the channel.
- Boost selected posts to reach greater potential audiences.
- Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness and elevate our social strategy.
- Stay on top of the latest social media trends.
Planning
- Create the social calendar allowing ample time for feedback and alignment, coordinate cross-functional activities and planning processes, manage timelines, and ensure timely completion of all deliverables while balancing CD Peacock’s brand needs versus partner vendor’s requirements for our channels.
- Create content and, as needed, brief the graphic design team to get creative assets ready on time.
- Schedule and post content.
Community
- Keep the conversation going with our audience in the comments (posts + ads).
- Keep track of UGC that we could engage with and repost.
- Lead all aspects of community management: interact directly with our audience, prospective audiences, and diligently respond to inquiries.
Reporting
- Define integral social media KPIs and manage dynamic reporting to measure the impact of each campaign, week, month, and quarter.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has knowledge/appetite for jewelry and watches.
- Has strong photography skills to capture still and video of products in store.
- Has a deep understanding of social platforms from functionality to advertising products.
- Loves figuring out what makes content engaging and viral.
- Approaches social media as a place for creative expression and bringing a compelling social media vision and content to life.
- Is creative with the ability to produce innovative and original ideas; strong creative judgement to recognize engaging, and on-brand content (visuals/copy).
- Is well-versed in digital media and social media metrics and monitoring tools.
- Possesses Photoshop & video editing skills for excellent content creation.
- Has strong copywriting skills with the ability to quickly adopt, shift & evolve editorial tone of voice; editorial or copywriting experience is mandatory.
- Has strong analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of content and programs and great attention to detail.
- Has a strong understanding of trends and can quickly respond to customers' shopping trends.
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience in social media marketing.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment & meet changing deadlines on multiple projects.
- Strong problem-solving & troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Works well under pressure & has a flexible & positive attitude.
- In-depth understanding of relevant & upcoming social media.
- Excellent verbal, communication & writing skills.
- Attention to detail & ability to multitask.
- Up to date on relevant cultural events.
