Position Overview:
Kids on the Move (KOTM) is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Strategic Creative Manager to lead and execute the creative vision for all marketing materials and content. This role will be responsible for creating and overseeing the development of content across multiple platforms, including social media, email campaigns, flyers, and event materials. You will be the driving force behind telling KOTM's story through impactful visuals and storytelling, creating the majority of the content while ensuring consistency and alignment with the brand guidelines.
This position requires someone with a strong background in content creation, video production, and social media editing. The ideal candidate will have a creative, innovative mindset with the ability to stay true to the brand, ensuring that every piece of content tells the best story and stays on-brand. You will also oversee the brand look and feel of KOTM's website, ensuring that all pages align with the organization's visual identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and design all marketing materials, including social media posts, email campaigns, flyers, event collateral, ecommerce, and videos.
- Conceptualize, film, edit, and produce video content tailored for social media and other platforms, ensuring it aligns with KOTM's mission and vision. Ability to create trending video for social media is a plus.
- Oversee the brand's creative direction and ensure consistency across all content, maintaining brand integrity across all platforms.
- Take a hands-on role in the design and execution of creative projects, from ideation through to final production.
- Review and manage the creative look and feel of the KOTM website, ensuring visual consistency and compelling content across all pages.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand goals and objectives, using creative strategies to meet those needs while telling the most compelling stories.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and social media best practices to ensure KOTM's content is fresh, engaging, and impactful.
- Supervise and guide any external creative teams (e.g., graphic designers, videographers) as needed, ensuring all work adheres to KOTM's brand standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing hands-on work with overseeing other creative initiatives to meet deadlines.
- Continuously refine and improve KOTM's creative strategy to better engage our community and support the organization's mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in a creative role, with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to create high-quality content (including video, graphics, and social media).
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.) and other design or video production tools.
- Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives through visuals and content.
- Ability to produce, edit, and adapt video content for social media and other platforms.
- Excellent understanding of brand guidelines and the ability to maintain brand consistency across all channels.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative, forward-thinking mindset with a passion for pushing boundaries and telling powerful stories.
