- Design and produce high-quality visuals, including presentations, infographics, reports, marketing materials, and social media graphics.
- Develop concepts and designs for campaigns, ensuring visual consistency and alignment with client goals.
- Adapt designs for multiple formats, including print, web, and multimedia platforms.
- Print Production with providing print-ready files, working with client printers, and following through to the final product.
- Provide expert recommendations on design best practices and strategies to enhance visual storytelling and communication.
- Collaborate with teams to identify communication challenges and create visual solutions.
- Audit and refine existing visual assets to improve impact and usability.
- Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all materials.
- Work with internal stakeholders to evolve brand assets as needed.
- Coordinate with content creators, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
- Manage project timelines and deliver high-quality designs within deadlines.
- Communicate progress effectively and address feedback constructively.
- Provide a monthly report with client format for assignments.
- Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to incorporate into projects.
- Explore and integrate new design approaches, such as motion graphics, AR/VR, or interactive media.
- Proven experience (7+ years) as a graphic designer, visual communications specialist, or related role.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Experience with video editing tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro) and motion graphics is a plus.
- Familiarity with digital design platforms (e.g., Figma, Sketch) and web design principles is preferred.
- Microsoft PowerPoint use and graphic imports.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of creative, impactful design work.
- Exceptional attention to detail, typography, and layout design.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Flexible to meet with the client onsite twice a month based on design assignments. Available for clients remotely to review assignment feedback and changes.
- Designing materials for public awareness campaigns, health or medical initiatives, or educational programs.
- Manage four assignments monthly and provide edits from review.
- Exceptional time management and client relations management.
- Federal Government or regional government experience.
- A consultant who understands assignment management.
- Knowledge of accessible design standards and practices.
- Experience consulting with organizations to improve visual communication strategies.
- Consultant design assignment contracts with current clients.
