Overview
We are seeking a technical designer with 4- 5 years or more of experience to join our dynamic technical design team. The Technical designer will manage products to achieve fit, construction, and quality requirements. Looking for someone with intimates and/or swimwear experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop specifications for styles. Contribute to the development of sewing and measuring methods. Evaluate factory made samples and completes fit comment reports. Prioritize fit comment completion based on urgency of factory submits. Prepare final production packages for factories and quality control packages Create and maintain pattern files, including approved final garments, fit and grade garments, patterns, BOM and spec. Manage production samples for fit approvals and blocks, ensuring that the correct fit samples and any necessary references are prepared for weekly fittings.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, apparel or a related field Knowledgeable in basic sewing methods and best fit standards Familiarity with block patterns Experience with Adobe Illustrator, and 3D design systems is a plus Proven expertise in apparel fittings Excellent communication skills with production, design teams, and factories
