Position Overview:The Grant Writer will perform research to find grant opportunities that support new programs, maintain records, and coordinate the development of awarded grants to create a thriving community. This role involves identifying viable grant opportunities for program development and expansion, coordinating the preparation and submission of grant proposals, and assisting in the development and implementation of CPSEMO programs and projects. This position requires strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis:
Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to identify viable grant opportunities that support program development and/or expansion of services.Strategy Development:
Research and assist in the development and implementation of CPSEMO programs and projects, including but not limited to competitions, training, workshops, seminars, and other outreach and engagement activities.Implementation:
Coordinate the development, preparation, writing, and submission of grant proposals.Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the proposal, submission, and management of grants.Preferred Qualifications:
Strong research and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Effective management and organizational abilities.Ability to understand and address the big-picture needs of the organization.Experience in grant writing or a related field is a plus.Proficiency in using research databases and grant management software.Benefits:

Be 18 years or older (no upper age limit)Hold one of the following citizenship or legal residency statuses: US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card status), and persons legally residing within a state. Examples of persons legally residing within a state may include those holding the following classifications: refugee, asylee, temporary protected status throughout VISTA service, and holding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status.
