Content Marketing Manager Job Description
Sonicu, a fast-growing wireless sensor and cloud-based computing company headquartered in Indianapolis, is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to help execute the overall sales and marketing strategies for the company.
This position is full-time and serves a vital role in helping Sonicu achieve its growth and revenue goals.
Responsibilities:
- Creating high-quality content for marketing materials such as white papers, ebooks, case studies, website copy, datasheets, presentation materials, blogs, and social media content.
- Continuously measure and improve content performance; create reports leveraging Google Analytics, HubSpot, and social media analytics tools.
- Build and maintain the editorial calendar and marketing department's process documentation.
- Work closely with senior leaders and other departments to create effective communications strategies that articulate our product’s core benefits properly and consistently.
- Own the competitive intelligence analysis with a focus on creating content that differentiates Sonicu from our competitors based on hardware and software features and capabilities.
- Participate in outbound marketing.
- Coordinate generation and edit copy for installation guides, help docs, technical documents, datasheets, and other support documents.
- Coordinate graphical design and production of all marketing materials.
- Management of all creative resources including designers and other agency personnel.
- General support of sales and marketing efforts as needed.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of content marketing or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, business, advertising, or related field.
- Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
- Ability to develop, organize, and maintain process documentation.
- Ability to create, update, and maintain training documents.
- Experience/consistent performance in a deadline-oriented environment due to tight time restraints and volume of work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and juggle priorities.
- Clear, effective communicator—verbally and in writing—with the ability to be persuasive.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively with counterparts in a cross-functional capacity.
- Results-oriented; proven ability to prioritize, drive, and achieve results through self and others under time pressure.
- Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.
- Ability to analyze and present content and social performance.
- Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of traffic, leads, and sales.
- Strong knowledge of content marketing strategy and channels.
