Overview
The Communication Arts Department at CCBC, with a collaborative team of full-time Communication Studies faculty, is seeking one ten (10) month faculty member to teach Communication Studies courses who shows enthusiasm for working together to provide strong curriculum and pedagogy to our diverse student population. Fifteen contact hours of instruction, five office hours, college and community service, and ongoing professional development are required. The position is located at the Catonsville and/or Owings Mills locations but may require teaching classes at other locations scheduled during days, evenings, or online.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech, Speech Communication, Communication, Communication Studies, or a related subject with significant relevant coursework required.
- Two (2) years of full-time or Four (4) years part-time teaching experience.
- Teaching experience at the community college level and online teaching experience preferred.
Prepare and teach Fundamentals of Communication course. There may be opportunities to teach other courses such as Interpersonal Communication, Small Group Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Business and Professional Speaking, based on faculty experience and interest.
Maintain a strong presence by actively participating in department initiatives, college-wide committees, and other college work groups.
Support student engagement activities such as the student newspaper, NCA Honor Society, clubs, etc.
Remain current in the discipline through professional development opportunities.
