POSITION: Broadcast Engineer in Charge DEPARTMENT: Production Services - Operatoins REPORTS TO: Production Manager / Production Asst. Manager / Director of Engineering and Operations FLSA STATUS: Salaried/Exempt Summary: ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Broadcast Engineer in Charge for ASM Global/Caesars Superdome | Smoothie King Center | Champions Square. Position Summary: Ideal candidate is a highly technical individual that specializes in professional video and audio engineering, signal distribution, imaging technologies and operations management. The position requires proficiency in fundamental technologies used in modern broadcast operations. Responsible for reception and distribution of audio and video services, including installation, operation and maintenance of equipment associated with the head-end and signal transmission network. Provides game day services and support for all events including NFL and NBA events. Major Responsibilities: + Plan and oversee all video and audio production engineering operations for large-scale live events including NFL and NBA beginning with pre-production through post production activities. + Organize and assign production operations responsibilities. + Coordinate with management team to ensure all goals are met for each event. + Serve as the lead technician and works with on-site operations staff to secure equipment set-up, operation, strikes & conversions. + Administer and troubleshoots all technical issues/challenges on-site. + Monitor video and audio quality of services delivered including campus wide HD CCTV. + Maintain video operating head-end including researching and repair + Interface with clients and members of SMG management. + Schedule and perform maintenance. + Recommend and prepare specifications for equipment. + Document and maintain records and logs of all equipment. Qualifications: + Must have pervious experience with live, sporting and concert video production. + Must have previous experience managing technical staff. + Must demonstrate technical knowledge of video and audio equipment. + Must have experience and working knowledge of the following equipment: Ross Vision, Carbonite & Grass Valley Kayenne switchers, Click Effects Crossfire and Blaze, Daktronics VPlay, Evertz Dreamcatcher Replay & routers, Grass Valley HD cameras, Clear-Com intercoms, Christie Spyder & Lighthouse. + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Five years work experience in head-end maintenance + Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, in a fast-paced environment. + Willingness to work extended hours, weekends and holidays as necessary Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
