PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled PCB Designer to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in Hudson, NH. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description:
This role will focus on the design, development, and documentation of printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet both prototype and production specifications.
The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and process engineers, to create high-quality PCB designs. They will also ensure compliance with industry standards and address design challenges to optimize functionality and manufacturability.
What You Will Do:
- Place and route PCB components to meet electrical and physical design specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with various engineering disciplines to finalize PCB designs.
- Create fabrication and assembly drawings, parts lists, and update documentation as needed.
- Maintain and update component libraries.
- Generate all necessary output files for PCB manufacturing and assembly.
- Create and modify schematic diagrams using tools like Cadence Concept HDL and SYSCAP.
- Provide design feedback to engineers and suggest solutions for non-standard design challenges.
- Interface with drafting and checking teams to ensure design accuracy and incorporate design changes.
- Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent, OR 12+ years of experience in PCB layout.
- US Citizenship
- Minimum 4-10+ years of hands-on PCB design experience.
- 12+ years of experience in PCB and Rigid Flex design is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Cadence Allegro (version 17 or higher), including constraint manager.
- Strong knowledge of Signal Integrity and Design For Manufacture (DFM) rules.
- Familiarity with IPC-2221 and related industry standards.
- Experience with engineering change orders and Product Data Management tools.
- Proficiency in Cadence Concept HDL or SYSCAP for schematic capture.
- Ability to design complex layouts for digital, analog, RF, and power circuits.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with teams and provide clear instructions.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 6+ years of work experience or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience designing moderate to complex PCBs, including interconnect applications.
