Overview
Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers and contractors in the data center industry
Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards
Foster strong collaboration with stakeholders, including construction teams and legal departments, to facilitate seamless project execution and compliance
Monitor market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to inform sourcing strategies and project execution
Oversee the execution of data center projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges in sourcing and project execution
Prepare and present reports on category performance, supplier performance, and project outcomes to senior management
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or project management within the data center or related industry
Strong understanding of data center design, commissioning processes, and project execution methodologies
Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and relationship management
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders and suppliers, including construction teams and legal departments
Proficiency in procurement software and project management tools
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with suppliers and oversee project sites
