Sr. Backend Software Engineer - Creator Platform Location: San Francisco (you must work in the office at least 1x/week). The company's product is a publishing platform that helps Creators monetize their work. The company is founded by the founder of a successful company in the space. The company has 8 employees and 4 engineers. It has raised $10 million in pre-series A funding, and its product is already being used by very prominent individuals and organizations in the industry. The company will pay up to $250k in salary, plus up to 1% in equity. Job Responsibilities: - Backend engineering with Python. - Building a large-scale system to curate and store content from an entire industry, social networks, and eventually millions of websites and deliver the data to customers. Qualifications: - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment - Fine with working an average of 50 hours/week. - Strong technical skills. - Strong in any backend programming language, and interest/ability to primarily work with Python. - At least 8 years (the more the better) of professional experience as a Backend Engineer. - A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
