Position Title: Sr. Program Associate, Content PackagingDepartment: Content OperationsCorporate Area: Technology & OperationsStatus: Regular, Full time ExemptManager Title: Sr. Director, Content OperationsPosition Overview:The Content Operations Specialist gets the opportunity to work on some of PBS's acclaimed General Audience and Children's Programming. This position coordinates with producers to ensure media is delivered, meets PBS technical standards and metadata is accurate. This position traffics media and manages changes to media including edit supervision. Those in this position know that daily they contribute to providing the American public with the quality content PBS is known for. Once hired, your internal title will be Sr. Program Associate - Content Packaging.Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Coordinate with producers, Programming, Marketing and Standards & Practices to track media deliverables for assigned series/programsPerform quality control checks of media and program metadataTraffic /assemble General Audience and Children's programsManage change requests, including edit supervision and record creation.Respond to producer inquiries regarding PBS delivery specs prior to submission of mediaReview QC results and determine the appropriate dispositionSupport PBS Media Operations Center in responding to questions from producers regarding services providedRequirements for success:2-4 years' experience in broadcast traffic and operations, production or post-productionExperience coordinating supervised and non-supervised edit sessionsExperience with broadcast traffic softwareBachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent work experienceKnowledge of PBS content helpfulSkills/Abilities required:Attention to detailStrong proofreading/editing skillsOrganizational skillsStrong writing and communications skillsAbility to juggle several projects and work within tight deadlinesDiplomacy skillsIssue resolutionProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookPBS is an Equal opportunity Employer in accordance with the EEOC and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
