About the Role:
HEINEKEN USA is looking for a Senior Manager, External Communications, to join our Corporate Affairs team supporting and executing communication strategies for a few exciting brands and our corporate communications agenda. The ideal candidate should have experience working with large-scale consumer lifestyle brands, strong media relations skills, have experience working with celebrity talent and influencers, experience with corporate communications and be attuned to the latest trends across earned, digital and social media.
This is a great opportunity to manage the day-to-day communications for an innovative portfolio, work on collaborative campaigns and help guide the Corporate Affairs team to enhance the reputation of HEINEKEN USA.
Key Responsibilities: Partners with the Director to amplify the HEINEKEN USA story with external media (local, trade and national top tier outlets) in order to enhance the company's reputation Partners with the Director to develop and execute corporate communications and executive visibility initiatives featuring the HEINEKEN USA Management Team Serves as brand PR manager for Dos Equis and additional portfolio brands. Works closely with marketing teams to provide brand PR guidance, media relations counsel and crisis management. Works closely with HUSA's in-house legal team to review marketing materials for code compliance and offer creative solutions. Works closely with Brand teams to plan and execute celebrity talent and influencer strategies and manage celebrity talent and influencers Serves as day today manager of agency teams and consultants, providing direction, guidance and key insights on our general PR/communications strategy Supports Director of External Comms and Director of Internal Comms on crisis and reputational matters Works closely with the full Corporate Affairs team to ensure message consistency throughout all public-facing agendas Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in media relations and external communications in a corporate and/or agency setting Demonstrated experience in external media relations including creating and developing communications plans, key messages, press materials, large scale brand and sponsored events; must have a deep understanding of the cultural and media landscape Possesses strong understanding of planning and executing celebrity talent and influencers strategies Has experience planning and executing social and digital strategies for large-scale brands Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills Must have excellent presentation skills Strong track record of leading programs across external channels (e.g., media relations, social, owned) Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in an agency environment balancing large-scale consumer lifestyle brands strongly preferred Compensation & Benefits:
