Overview
The graphic/sr graphic designer is responsible for the design of various projects as requested by the manager and customers by utilizing the provided company software. Also provides creative assistance and advice to other designers.
Responsibilities
Develop concepts and original design work as well as modify existing artwork and utilize designing tools best suited to produce the desired visual effect in company forms, marketing and sales materials, presentations and other communications in all media forms.
Oversee typesetting, illustration and production of all external jobs/projects.
Keep current on technological advances of graphics software and hardware.
Evaluate and propose any changes of graphics equipment. Work with outside vendors to prepare quotes for customers and jobs for print.
Perform and assist with press checks.
Provide creative advice/suggestions to other designers.
Provide technical input to assist in development of project planning.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, graphics design or equivalent related work experience. (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Minimum of five years experience in graphics design for graphic designer position.
Eight years experience in graphics design for sr graphic designer position.
Advanced knowledge of creative arts and other graphic technologies.
Demonstrated skills in computer graphic software programs.
Effective oral and written communication skills for determining customer needs. Organizational skills for organizing work.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
