Job Duties
Sales (Hardscape & Softscape)
Design landscape projects (Hardscape & Softscape)
Meeting with clients to discuss landscaping ideas, creating estimates for labor, and establishing budgets, present design plans to clients
Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates
Coordinate the arrangement of existing and proposed land features and structures
Prepare graphic representations of proposed plans using 3D or landscape design software or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software
Select appropriate materials for use in landscape designs
Analyze environmental reports on land conditions, such as drainage and energy usage
Inspect landscape work sites to ensure that it adheres to original plans
Get contracts signed and collect down payments
Communicate plan and design to the installation teams
Do final walk through with clients
Meet specified sales goals
Manage installation projects from start to finish & make sure teams are on or under budget time
Ensuring that customers are completely satisfied through effective communication, relationship building and regular site visits
Scheduling new projects for completion
Writing up any change orders
Project work as assigned
Qualifications / Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Customer service skills in person / phone / email / follow ups
Microsoft word / excel / design software
Knowledge of grading, seeding, sodding, drainage, installation
Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems
Ability to prioritize job duties and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
General understanding of labor and material costs as it relates to bidding
Shows consistent professionalism and good judgment
Must have a basic understanding of contract law & negotiating contracts
High attention to detail
Education and Experience
A High School Diploma or GED is required
Associate degree and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar capacity
Previous construction experience
Sales experience
Management experience
Experience using a landscape software
Degree in landscape design or architecture is a plus
