Salary: $95,000-$110,000/year

Position Overview
The Sr Specialist, Learning Content collaborates with content specialists to develop professional learning and curricular materials that advance IM’s mission of equitable, grade-level math access. This role co-writes content, leads medium-sized projects in transitional years, and provides grade-band expertise to expand IM PK–5 Math and IM 6–12 Math offerings. Additionally, this individual will be focused on understanding the needs of both students and adults who teach across transitional grade levels, while offering support for customization needs and special projects. The Sr Specialist, Learning Content addresses partner customization needs while driving IM’s equity-focused vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new iterations of IM content materials, aligning with IM’s broader organizational goals and equity-focused vision.
- Consult with Product Development Leadership to adapt existing products or create custom products to address district-specific requests strategically.
- Lead medium to large-scale projects by serving as the primary point of contact for content creation and delivery.
- Attend IM Community events and PL sessions (virtual and in-person) to maintain alignment between PL product development and adult learning needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure IM’s principles of teacher and student positioning, equity, and adult learning are embedded in PK–12 products.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- At least 5 years of working with mathematics content (TK-6, 4-9, or 5-12), including knowledge of the Common Core State Standards and Progressions Documents or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience facilitating and writing professional learning workshops and materials for elementary school, middle school, or high school educators or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience designing problem-based curriculum materials.
- Must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the USA.
Preferred:
- Expertise in:
- Alignment & Transition: Understanding of the approaches to support vertical alignment within grade bands as well as horizontal alignment around depth and complexity of both PL and curricular content.
- Enhancing Access & Equity: Expertise in authentic integration of culturally responsive and sustaining educational practices, universal design learning, multilingual learner supports, etc. within professional learning and curricular products.
