Team (Project) Introduction
The Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity manages and enhances the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) which resides on one Oracle M8 Supercluster database and thirteen application servers. Our team provides the technical services required to sustain EDW applications including Project Management, Data Warehouse Management, Advanced Analytics, Tableau Server Administration/Tableau Desktop Administration, Technical Collaboration Support, Lessons Learned, Executive Orders and Special Projects, Architectural Enhancement, and Cloud Migration. We also provide management, enhancement, integration, implementation, maintenance, modernization, and infrastructure support for EDW applications as well as enhancement and maintenance of business intelligence capabilities and predictive analytics.
9th Way Insignia is looking for a Sr. Technical Writer to join this team.
Professional Level Information
A Sr. Consultant completes tasks and projects of moderate scope and complexity. A Sr. Consultant exercises the best judgement and problem-solving skills within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action to execute assignments. The Sr. Consultant will also provide guidance and/or lead on tasks/projects.
Responsibilities:
Support the analysis, development, and updating of technical documentation
Support the development, review, publication, and updating of project and team specific plans, SOPs, reports, and processes
Support the timely publication of Root Cause Analysis documentation, Lessons Learned documentation, and White papers
Responsible for tracking SOPs and ensuring that all are in place
Manage simultaneous tasks, prioritize issues, and track progress
As needed, support technical team members in the creation of user job aids in support of upgraded functionality, enhancements, or software updates
Support ad hoc and recurring data requests and reporting within existing business rules and SLAs
Support the development and delivery of scheduled reports, ad hoc reports, and presentations
Support the editing of graphics
Participate in content and materials development for presentations and training.
Requirements:
10 years of experience in writing technical documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; an additional 8 years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
Fluency in technical and common Microsoft Office software
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.

Salary Range:
$75,272 - $82,700 USD
