Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): Work as an assistant in the Ensemble Library. We will be hiring one student who will report to the Ensemble Library primarily, but will also work collaboratively with the Music Organizations office when needed.

- Collection maintenance duties (includes ongoing project of re-inventorying band and orchestral sets and scores)
- Assistance with "weeding" project (selecting and removing titles for withdrawal)
- Miscellaneous duties including score/part repair, barcoding of choral music, general clean-up and organization in both the choral and band/orchestra library spaces, etc.
- Contributing to several long-term digitization projects including digitization of manuscript choral music collection and digitization of choral reference scores
- Potential relocation of the band and orchestra ensemble library holdings.
- Staff audition tables during Week Zero first year auditions
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience with Excel/Word and Google Docs/Sheets

- Must be a current St. Olaf student planning to return in the fall. (Current first-years, sophomores, or juniors.)
- This employment (15-20 hrs/week) begins on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 and continues through Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Shifts will be primarily scheduled M-Th between 8:30-5:00 p.m. Please also note that you will likely be asked to take a short, unpaid vacation, covering one week. Dates to be coordinated with your supervisor.
