Director+ Apply Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent practical experience. 15 years of experience leading UX teams or design portfolios. 10 years of experience in a senior role creating strategy and designing products. Experience managing and growing cross-discipline UX organizations, including senior managers and their teams. Experience with cross-functional collaboration, partnerships, and leadership within a matrixed organization. Preferred Qualifications:
Management experience of distributed teams and the ability to grow strong teams and leaders. Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, driving commitment and innovation across teams and peers. The Customer Engagement (CE) team empowers Google to intelligently engage with customers at scale. CE builds a product suite named Connect, which focuses on delivering an ecosystem for Google's representatives in the sales, support, and marketing organizations to perform their jobs helping advertisers throughout their lifecycle with Google. CE has innovated with AI to impact business outcomes. We measure our success through increased topline revenue and by removing bottom line costs - both for our customers and for Google. The Director, UX, Sales and Marketing Platform has the responsibility of leading the UX organization that drives customer success, sales effectiveness, and revenue for Google. You will be responsible for the design vision, strategy, and implementation of the "only at Google" solutions that sit within the intersection of Ads and Business, integrated with the latest Ads and AI/ML technology, to support the frontline to the top business executives. As the UX leader, you will also lead a high functioning design and research team that has a successful track record of defining elegant product solutions that enable customer success. Responsibilities
Guide compelling product visions and strategic roadmaps through the discipline of UX that lead to the growth of existing products and boldly pursuing new ones. Set a high standard for excellence through the use of user-centered principles and methods across UX. Drive operational and executional excellence, while leading creative and holistic thinking at scale across product releases, platforms and devices. Advocate effectively on behalf of the Customer Engagement Ads UX teams and their users, empowering them visibly and behind the scenes. Build relationships and operating rhythms with leaders within Customer Engagement, Ads UX and the broader Ads organization, to socialize and influence experiences that are cohesive, inclusive and well-informed. Serve as a strong thought leader to provide perspective on the evolution of Customer Engagement and the broader Google Ads ecosystem in an AI-first world.
