The Role We are looking for a Junior Creative Technologist to join our team—someone who is passionate about technology, software, and creative problem-solving. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a background in electrical engineering, computer science, digital media, or a related field who wants to apply their skills to the world of live events and interactive experiences. As a Junior Creative Technologist, you will assist in designing and implementing interactive AV solutions, working with both hardware and software to create engaging event technology. You’ll gain hands-on experience with low-code platforms, microcontrollers, AV control systems, and real-time event programming, while collaborating with our team to push the boundaries of event technology. Location: In-Office (with flexibility) at Milwaukee, WI headquarters Travel: Occasional travel to client events across the U.S. Key Responsibilities Technical Development & Integration: Assist in designing and implementing interactive AV installations and event technology. Work with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Intuiface, TouchDesigner…). Help integrate microcontrollers, sensors, and controls into AV production setups. Support programming and configuration of lighting, sound, and video control systems (DMX, MIDI, OSC, etc.). Hardware & Electrical Support: Assist in the setup, wiring, and testing of AV and lighting systems. Work with basic electrical circuits and power management for custom installations. Learn and support signal routing, networking, and control protocols for events. On-Site Event Support: Travel occasionally to client events across the U.S. to assist with setup, troubleshooting, and operation of interactive AV systems. Provide technical support to ensure event technology runs smoothly. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in high-pressure event environments. Research & Learning: Stay up to date with emerging AV technologies, interactive tools, and software trends. Participate in internal R&D projects to test and develop new AV solutions. Learn from senior team members and develop hands-on skills in AV production technology. Who You Are Recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field. Passionate about technology, software, and creative AV experiences. Comfortable with basic coding (Python, JavaScript, C++ preferred) and eager to learn more. Familiarity with low-code platforms, microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi), or AV programming is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.
