Artwork Production Designer III
The Niagara Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team is a broad reaching partner, trusted to provide and build a culture around quality product data management from inception to end-of-life. We employ consistent, end-user focused processes and maintain a secure single source of truth in order to enable efficiency, scalability, and product excellence.
The Artwork Production Designer III is responsible for the oversight, administration, and preparation of graphic pre-print production files.
Essential FunctionsCommunicates with printers, clients, and all levels internally to achieve desired printing effects, including understanding, revising, and editing internal commentary for change to external partiesOffloads/Uploads final art files to print supplierAdministers email and workflow inboxes for artworkManages all aspects of assigned customers graphic assetsVerifies consistent, identical state of approved copy through resizings or color revisionsReviews and approves or rejects physical proofs or mockups for consistency in color and design with customer's approved filesDetermines and communicates to suppliers the best course of action for achieving desired printed packaging solutionsAssures that final mechanical files meet client and printer needs, are complete, and are delivered within tight timelinesMonitors change orders within product record system to assure correctness, adherence to policy, and completenessCoordinates the artwork change process, minimizing cycle time while assuring that all changes and communications are done correctly and completelyPerforms minor retouching/manipulation of images ensuring that projects are created to specification and suitable for release to print vendors for productionMeets with client and internal parties to understand, translate, and develop preprint production needs into workable solutionsDevelops knowledge and understanding of industry by continuing educationCreate ColorCert Job files to be uploaded to Scorecard by suppliers and review printed samples for quality and retain libraryList if any travel is required using percentage of time:
25% - on average travels 1 week out of the month

EducationMinimum Required:
Associate's Degree (or current course of study leading to an Associate's Degree or higher) in Graphic Design, Illustration, Publishing, Marketing, or Advertising and other related fields or equivalent experience
