Job Description
We are seeking a Home Health Sales Representative to join our team! You will be responsible for visiting and establishing effective rapport with physicians, office staff, discharge planners and other referral sources in a variety of settings including hospitals, doctor's offices, and other healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison in the community to build partnerships with patients and healthcare providers to attract patient referrals and grow our brand
- Participates in external marketing, including building relationships with referral sources, supporting marketing functions sponsored by the communities to engage in community networking, conducting physician visits, and meeting with discharge planners as needed
- Develop new referral sources in the community
- Promote our professional services within the community
- Strengthen relationships with new and existing referral sources - daily visits to organizations, physician offices, hospitals, assisted livings facilities and adult day care to educate and inform referral sources and patients of home health options
- Participates in the planning for expansion of patient referrals
- Acts as liaison to physician to report patient’s progress toward goals, response to treatment, or updated treatment plans. Serves as a liaison with hospital planners to ensure smooth transition from hospital to home.
- Bring workable patient referrals to the agency
- Daily visits to physician offices/hospitals/assisted livings facilities and adult day cares to educate and inform referral sources and patients of home health options
- Pre-plan weekly marketing activities and follow-through
- Maintain complete and concise written documentation relating to all sales activity to assure appropriate lead tracking and follow-up
- Event coordination and community liaison - participate in health fairs, awareness days, etc
- Creates and presents business plan to target physicians, Assisted Living Facilities and other key referral sources
- If a licensed clinician, may be asked to occasionally cover community based residents as needed for SOC, care plan development or assistance with staffing
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Home Healthcare Sales and Marketing
- Prior experience in Home Health Care, Marketing, or Business Development
- Knowledge and understanding of Medicaid/Medicare guidelines and other insurances is highly recommended
- Excellent customer service, attention to detail and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work well in teams
