Position Summary
As Senior Account Executive, Podcasts, you will leverage your existing relationships within the podcast industry to drive revenue through new business development and the expansion of current advertiser partnerships. Reporting to the EVP of Podcasts, you’ll manage a targeted client list and work closely with internal teams to deliver high-performing, strategic campaigns. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a deep passion for podcasting. A strong network is an asset, but a collaborative mindset and results-driven attitude are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow advertiser and agency relationships within your client list.
- Prospect, pitch, and close new business through outbound efforts and referrals.
- Manage a sales pipeline, including lead generation, tracking, and forecasting.
- Understand client objectives and offer strategic podcast advertising solutions.
- Oversee insertion orders and coordinate with internal teams for campaign fulfillment, invoicing, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales support, ad ops, marketing, and strategy teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Provide excellent client service to retain and grow business.
- Attend industry events to build relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in podcast, audio, or media ad sales.
- Proven success in prospecting, closing, and managing client relationships.
- Familiarity with the podcast landscape and digital media trends.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and media planning platforms.
- Knowledge of ad serving technologies is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
