Job Title: Technical Content Writer (Markdown & Git Repo) Location: Redmond, WA Job Type: Contract Key Responsibilities: Write clear, concise, and accurate technical content, including user guides, tutorials, FAQs, and API documentation. Create and maintain markdown-based documentation in Git repositories for internal and external users. Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other technical teams to gather information and transform complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand written content. Develop structured and organized documentation that adheres to company standards and best practices. Continuously update and refine existing documentation to ensure its relevance and accuracy as the product evolves. Review and edit content created by other team members for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for improving documentation processes and workflows. Contribute to the version control process, including managing pull requests, reviewing commits, and ensuring proper documentation versioning. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a technical writer or similar role, preferably with a background in software or technology. Strong proficiency in writing and formatting documentation using Markdown . Hands-on experience with Git and Git-based repositories (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket). Familiarity with version control practices and the ability to manage documentation in Git branches, pull requests, and merging workflows. Solid understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong written communication skills with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
