The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented System Administration Consultant.
The System Administrator Consultant will support the Behavioral Health Division’s Facility Video Retention process in accordance with UHS policies. Duties include working with facility staff, divisional staff, Corporate Insurance and Corp Legal in the preservation and/or release of needed facility video. Responsibilities also include working with corporate, local, and remote staff by troubleshooting and maintaining servers, PCs, and peripheral equipment. Works closely with team members to identify and implement resolutions to customer support incidents. Collaborates with senior programming, engineering and application support staff on design and implementation of approved projects. Contributes to research and analysis of technology-based processes and systems for identified business objectives. Develops documentation of systems, processes and procedures. Adheres to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality. Maintains confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Performs moderate level break-fix resolution.
- Participates in infrastructure related projects.
- Performs moderate level software installs, system configurations and troubleshooting on Windows based servers, PCs, laptops, and peripherals.
- Acts as part of a team to manage enterprise networks and active directory.
- Assists with computer/server configurations and setup.
- Maintains systems security.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- 2 years of college coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Familiar with PC Hardware and Operating system function and support.
- Familiar with the various video file players and formats
- Moderate experience troubleshooting Windows operating system (Win 11,10).
- Moderate knowledge of enterprise networks.
- Moderate knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS.
- Moderate experience troubleshooting hardware platforms (desktop, server, laptop, tablet, printers).
- Common business software.
- Microsoft Office, Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
- Project management experience. Ability to work and collaborate as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong Customer Service Skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of learning through continued study of trade journals, technical manuals online research and interaction with other teams or vendors.
- Thorough experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems.
- Thorough knowledge of enterprise networks.
- Thorough knowledge of Active Directory.
- Thorough experience troubleshooting hardware platforms.
- Experience with scripting.
- IT bachelor’s degree, certification.
- Critical thinking skills.
