The Diagnostics Platform consists of the following core businesses: Beckman Coulter, Leica Biosystems, Radiometer, and Cepheid. There are approximately 25,000 associates.
The Director, Organizational Design and Development, will play a critical role in shaping the future of the Diagnostics Platform through the design and development of scalable, dynamic, and inclusive organizations that support our business' strategic goals. Reporting directly to the VP Talent, Diagnostics Platform, this role will provide expertise to business teams on the design and implementation of optimal organizational models and structures.
In this role you will bring strategic thought partnership and specialist, expert knowledge of strategic organizational development to work in close partnership with Diagnostics business leaders, HR Business Partners and the Talent team to deliver practical solutions that align with and advance our business goals.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
· Organization Design: Provide expertise to business teams on the design and implementation of optimal organizational models and structures. Examples include matrix organizations across functions and geographies that support shared business objectives.
· Strategic Leadership: Leverage facilitation skills to drive organizational interventions based on thorough knowledge of the business and organizational objectives. You will also conduct analyses of industry trends in the market to inform decision-making across our markets.
· Change Management Leadership: Partner with regional and functional leaders to support significant organization change initiatives. Develop and implement change management strategies to equip teams for transitions in the business
· Strategic & Operational Partnership: Compile & analyze metrics and organizational data to inform strategic decision making and measure sustainment of initiatives. Co-author comprehensive reports and presentations.
· Continuous Improvement Steward: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by benchmarking best practices both internally and externally, facilitating assessments and feedback on new or existing organizational development programs, and piloting and implementing improvements.
· Facilitate building of High Performing Teams to sustain org development: Lead the implementation of a solution to unlock the full potential of teams, including org effectiveness strategies and tools
In this role you will need to have a strategic and growth mindset and thrive in a global, fast-paced and ever-changing environment. We are seeking someone who can flex and adjust approaches based on organizational needs and changing dynamics.
The essential requirements of the job include:
· Strategic Consultative Approach: You should have a proven track record of partnering effectively with senior leaders and serving as a trusted advisor on organizational development and design and workforce strategy.
· Business Acumen: Ability to rapidly build a deep understanding of the Diagnostics healthcare industry, businesses, products and commercial models and the ability to translate business needs into practical, customer-centric organizational solutions.
· Global Perspective: Experience in navigating across different cultures and markets is essential and a demonstrated ability to successfully manage the complexities of a global organization and delivery of inclusive and adaptable business strategies.
· Leadership and Influence: Demonstrate the ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams and successfully drive adoption of new organizational solutions across the organization.
· Systematic collection and analysis of organizational data (qualitative and quantitative), through the creation of a disciplined listening and feedback mechanism in collaboration with Business Leaders and HR and Talent Partners to evaluate impact and inform / adapt the way in which we design and develop organizations.
· Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in using data to inform organization design and workforce planning strategies. You have experience leveraging data to understand trends, measure the impact of organizational initiatives, recommend actions and deliver solutions.
· Project Management: Strong project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
· Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner. You have a track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
· Adaptability and Innovation: The ability to adapt to changing business needs and continuously innovate organizational design and development practices to stay ahead of industry trends.
· Travel: Domestic and international travel is required (estimated at 30 - 40%)
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience gained in various roles in organization design and development, talent management, assessment, consulting, analytics and /or prior experience gained in other business functions and comparably sized global organizations. For Master’s/Doctoral degree candidates with 12+ years of experience required.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
The salary range for this role is $150-$180. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
