RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and implement UI/UX solutions for web applications, ensuring compliance with Section 508, WCAG, and DoD usability standards. Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs to effectively communicate design concepts. Implement responsive and accessible UI designs, ensuring adherence to best practices in UI/UX design. Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to identify areas for UI/UX improvements. Develop and integrate front-end components using React, Angular, or Vue.js. Ensure secure UI design principles to mitigate risks such as clickjacking, form spoofing, and data exposure. Implement and maintain design systems and component-based UI frameworks to ensure consistency across applications. Utilize CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS) and front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite, Gulp) to streamline development workflows. Collaborate with developers, DevSecOps engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless UI/UX integration. Stay current with emerging trends in UI/UX design, accessibility, and front-end development. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end development. Proficiency in UI/UX design tools, including Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch. Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js). Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and interactive design methodologies. Knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG) and best practices in responsive design. Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and incorporate feedback into design iterations. Experience implementing and maintaining design systems and component-based UI development. Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS) and front-end build tools (Webpack, Gulp). Understanding of secure UI design principles to mitigate security risks. Secret Clearance required. DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with motion design and micro-interactions to enhance user engagement. Experience with user analytics and A/B testing to refine design choices. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaboration within cross-functional teams. Experience working with DevSecOps teams to ensure security is integrated into front-end development.
