Job Description: Instructional Designer (Contract Position)
We are seeking an experienced and creative Instructional Designer to join our team on a contract basis. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing and developing a variety of learning experiences, including interactive eLearning modules, large-scale training solutions, and blended multi-media instructor-led presentations. This role involves working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across different business units to ensure content is both engaging and meets regulatory and legal requirements while adhering to training best practices.
This is a remote position with occasional travel required as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop engaging and interactive learning experiences, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.
- Collaborate with SMEs to ensure training content aligns with business goals and meets compliance and regulatory standards.
- Define clear learning objectives and restructure content to create effective learning experiences.
- Develop storyboards, visual aids, and training materials that are clear, concise, and accessible.
- Translate complex processes into simple, easily understandable training modules that enhance learning retention and engagement.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and project scope evolves with changing business needs.
- Conduct research and maintain overall production schedules to ensure timely delivery of learning solutions.
- Design and develop training materials with an emphasis on adult learning principles and high-quality visuals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in Instructional Design, eLearning development, or a related field.
- Proficiency in designing interactive asynchronous eLearning modules and developing synchronous in-person scenario-based learning experiences.
- Strong ability to break down complex information into clear, actionable learning content.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines while adapting to changing business needs.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a solid understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and the effective use of visuals and layout in training materials.
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools, including Articulate Storyline (preferred) and Adobe Captivate.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
