Job Title: Mechanical DesignerJob DescriptionThe Mechanical Designer is involved in the plant layout, detailing, drafting, and design of conveyor systems and components such as machinery, stairs, platforms & mezzanines, ladders, and other items as needed.ResponsibilitiesDesign and draft conveyor systems and components including machinery, stairs, platforms & mezzanines, and ladders.Create detailed plant layouts.Utilize AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor for design and drafting tasks.Apply sheet metal fabrication principles to designs.Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality and correct errors.Invite and accept constructive feedback to improve designs.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor.Excellent design and drafting skills in AutoCAD.Solid modeling skills with training or experience in sheet metal fabrication principles.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with food and beverage layout.Experience in designing with miscellaneous metals.Machine design and drafting experience.Project management experience or training.Experience in the package handling industry.Work EnvironmentThe company designs, builds, installs, and services material handling & conveyor systems and food & beverage production lines for some of the largest companies in the world.
