Kamp throws some of the best startup/vc events in the world. We have helped over 8,000 entrepreneurs with our events and have 830+ testimonials to back up our claims of being the top startup event producer. Founders of billion dollar companies have spoke at our events and we like to have a great time putting these on for the public but also host top notch private events.
But now as a startup ourselves, we are growing fast (180% YoY)! We are looking for help in certain areas to help build the rocket ship and get in on the ground floor...exciting!!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading all marketing efforts for Kamp. This includes overseeing social media strategies, marketing funnels for ticket sales and inbound inquiries for private events, monitoring/creating campaigns, and forming and maintaining promotional partnerships. Your main goal is to drive awareness to our events, tickets, sponsorship, and private event sales (with inbound and outbound marketing tactics).
Responsibilities
- Sell out all of our events with ticket sales and getting butts in seats.
- Manage our social media strategy.
- Create meaningful content via Canva to be used weekly.
- Manage and create our current/future promo partnerships.
- Manage our biweekly blogs and newsletters (Beehiv).
- Create marketing funnels for our ICP when visiting the website pages.
- Making sure all events are sold out.
- Hitting monthly quotas with inbound inquiries along with ticket sales.
Musts
- Ability to strategically put processes in place to drive ticket sales, sponsorship sales, and private event sales.
- Help with promo partnerships (which does include cold calls for partnerships in different cities).
- 3 years experience with running digital ads with proof of at least 30% growth YoY for their following and/or revenue.
- 2 years experience with driving ticket sales 30% YoY.
- 3 years experience with designing on Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
- Great communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Must be a go-getter and self-starter since Kamp is a very small startup team.
- Must know how to use Slack, Pipedrive, Beehiv (newsletters), X, Instagram.
- Deep understanding of startup/vc/biz vocabulary to write blog posts and content.
- Must be comfortable working with a super small team and be able to be a self-starter.
Hours
15-20 hours per week (2 days in office around downtown Fort Lauderdale M&F from 12-5pm the rest is remote).
Pay
$1K per month (for 15-20 hours) + bonuses + equity ---> pay will increase by summer 2025.
NOTE: Having another full-time job is fine. This is a part-time job but hopefully we can move you to full-time in 2025 with a real competitive salary! Grow with us and help us get there very soon!
