This role is a great opportunity for someone with experience in the built environment who wants to continue honing their project management and mechanical engineering skills. The individual should be able to complete the majority of a design independently and perform site visits on behalf of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizes technical expertise to support architectural and engineering design processes.
- Performs design, calculations, and CAD drawings.
- Performs peer review of other technical data prepared by third-party entities.
- Perform inspections, including site investigations, data collection, and analysis, to determine the root cause of failures, defects, or other issues.
- Performs a wide range of testing, including but not limited to material testing, structural analysis, and performance evaluations.
- Supervises testing activities and ensures accurate data collection for the precise interpretation of results.
- Assist in the development and review of technical specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
- Generate comprehensive field reports detailing observations, measurements, and findings from site visits and inspections.
- Generate expert reports that provide in-depth analysis, conclusions, and recommendations based on project requirements and findings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering-related disciplines.
- Five plus years of experience in mechanical consulting and design engineering services environment.
- OSHA -10 Certification preferred.
