Ophthalmology Associates, S.C. located in Cudahy, Wisconsin is hiring a part-time
Prior Authorization Specialist.
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team. This employee will work closely with our surgery schedulers and our billing department. We are passionate about patient care and dedicated to improving quality of life through life-changing vision procedures and treatments.
Preferred applicants will have prior experience, but we are willing to train the right applicant.
Excellent customer service skills are a must!!

Qualifications
• Requires considerable attention to detail
•High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience or training in this or similar position
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, obtaining, and resolving referral, pre-certification, and/or prior authorization to support insurance specific plan requirements.
May be responsible for pre-appointment registration and insurance review to maximize the submission of a clean claim.
.Calls for benefits verification and necessary pre-authorizations.
Serves as liaison between patient, surgery coordinators, billers, and surgeon
Must be willing to help in all areas
Must be knowledgeable about surgical procedures and have excellent verbal skills to explain financial options to surgical patients
Coordinates paperwork
Maintains patient confidentiality
Obtains and Communicates out of pocket expenses to surgical patients
Applicant should be dependable and a self-starter.
Expected hours: 16-20 hours per week

Note: We have office locations in Greenfield, Cudahy, and New Berlin.
Prior Authorization Specialist will primarily work at our Cudahy office. Some travel is required mid-day on certain days of the month.
