Role Description

This is a contract Music Theory Instructor role at Green Room Music located in Mount Kisco, NY. The Music Theory Instructor will be responsible for teaching music theory to students on-site. Students will likely be middle school aged, but could be as young as elementary all the way up to adults.

Qualifications

• Mastery over basic music theory concepts, including, but not limited to those listed in the AP Music Theory requirements (https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/courses/ap-music-theory)
• Sufficient piano skills to aid in the teaching of music theory
• Experience in teaching music theory and performance
• Passion for music and educating others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on-site in Mount Kisco, NY
• Bachelor's degree in Music or related field required
