Job Responsibilities Implement and refine district approved curriculum to meet the evolving educational needs of students. Systematically gather, analyze, and use data to measure student progress, guide instruction, and provide timely feedback. Uses technology effectively to enhance student learning and to manage the classroom. Maintain a safe student-centered learning environment that is engaging and respectful. Manage classroom with clear, consistent expectations for student behavior with an aim to create a calm, safe, orderly learning community. Develop and implement IEPs consistent with compliance requirements. Complete additional special educational actions and attend meetings as applicable as part of student's educational team. Minimum and Additional Requirements Requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Completion of a CAEP approved training program or eligible for SC certification through the State Department of Education's approved alternative certification routes. Valid SC certification (or is eligible to obtain a SC certification) in the subject area(s) employed to teach Special Education: TVI. Ability to implement appropriate braile skills and/or to acquire requisite skills.
