ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer to join our team in Lexington Park, MD. This position is onsite.
This position will be responsible for developing and editing material for reports, briefs, and other related technical publications for a NAWCAD team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organize material and complete writing assignments to established standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
- Perform technical writing assignments with direction from senior writers or supervisor using prescribed formats with sample materials.
- Receive and incorporate technical information provided by the development team Engineers and Production personnel to review technical documentation, ensuring the understanding required to perform writing assignments.
- May be required to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of professional experience relevant to DoD Technical Document preparation and editing.
- 2+ years of experience developing and editing military technical data products.
- Must possess knowledge of S1000D formatting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing and editing military aircraft technical data products.
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required and an active or current Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $67,300.00-$111,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
