Position Summary
The Table Games UX/UX Designer focus specializes in developing and maintaining the operation, user interface, user experience, and functionality of Electronic Table Games. Designs felt and electronic table game layout, content, user interface graphics, logos, icons, and infrastructure for product release and table game product offering.
Essential Job Functions:
- Passionate about resolving user pain points through effective & efficient design.
- Create, innovate, and design electronic table game wireframes and flow charts for a comfortable and exciting user gameplay experience.
- Design and create attractive user interface art and experiences in Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
- Work closely with the art director to come up with and iterate on multiple UI design variations, layouts, and logo design solutions.
- Concept and render characters, environments, props, icons, VFX if needed.
- Advocate for design solutions with rationale including business and user goals.
Qualifications
Training and/or Experience:
5+ years of experience - exceptions are made with a high caliber portfolio and eloquence that demonstrates senior-level knowledge and maturity. Prior gaming industry experience is preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Innovative yet user-centric design abilities.
- Strong knowledge of accessibility & usability principles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Experience with a variety of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Protopie, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Proven experience in designing user experiences for published applications (including games of any type) with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes.
- Knowledge in stakeholder interviews, value proposition mapping, and competitive research.
- Creating user personas, scenarios, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Optimizing interactions & conducting remote usability tests.
- Validating the emotional impact of designs.
- Ensuring design standards, guidelines, and best practices are adhered to.
- Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture.
- Proficiency in Unity and being able to implement UI assets is a plus.
- Ability to concept, sketch, render characters, environments, and objects is a plus.
- 3D modeling skills for use on UI or logo is a plus (Blender, Maya, and/or 3D Studio Max).
- Photoshop paint and rendering skill is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience required.
