Note: This position is contingent on a future opening with Gunnison, estimated to start in late September 2025.
Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000/year
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and format all required contract and program deliverables to ensure compliance with customer standards.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), team orientation and training materials, knowledge transfer plans (KTPs), and transition-in/out documentation.
- Create and update templates for test plans, test scripts, and test reports to ensure all customer-required elements are included.
- Organize, control versions, and archive documentation within customer-approved repositories.
- Review all documents for accuracy, clarity, grammatical correctness, and compliance before submission.
- Draft meeting agendas and minutes as needed. Take notes during stakeholder meetings.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of technical writing experience.
- U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or in English, Communications, or similar.
Nice to have:
- Professional certifications in software testing.
- Knowledge of IRS core financial/tax systems, security policies, and change management.
- Experience with tools such as Computer Associates Test Data Manager, JMeter, Junit, Selenium, Informatica, Control-M, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and others.
Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and demonstrate IRS tax compliance.
The salary depends on factors such as location, experience, and organizational constraints.
