Job DescriptionThe optimal candidate will have experience and responsibilities in the following areas:
- Has a minimum of three years of relevant documentation management experience.
- May coordinate with business and technology teams, documenting system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
- Conduct client interviews.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work independently under general supervision to complete tasks as schedules and to manage the project’s document repository according to Department guidelines and best practices.
- Responsibilities include developing technical project documentation, reports, and supporting the development of training materials.
- Perform initial and iterative updates to product documentation.
- Requires excellent written and oral communications skills; must be able to interface effectively with SMEs and managers of all levels.
- Ensures completion of all committed documentation tasks in parallel with system development with frequent refactoring and tuning of artifacts.
- Develops new and refine existing technical writing processes to enhance quality and productivity.
- Translates technical information into clear, understandable documentation to be used by technical and non-technical staff.
- Advises and assists team members on documentation standards and use of documentation repositories.
