Tesla Inc. is seeking a Technical Editor to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. You will be the bridge between global technicians and the larger-scale, global service network. By using in-house tools, partnering with engineers from service, quality, and design, and working collaboratively with diagnostics, training, technical operations, and other teams, you will help keep vehicles driving on the road for hundreds of thousands of electric miles. Responsibilities Partner with engineering teams to create and update diagnostic information and procedures contained in the diagnostics database for use by non-engineers Collaborate with various engineering and quality teams to gather technical information Understand technical problems and communicate them effectively to non-technical people Validate information for accuracy and use a routing and review process for document approval Edit content according to a style guide and enforce organization standards Improve editorial and visual standards for documentation and recommend new designs, layouts, and formatting as needed. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
