Responsibilities will include a combination of the following:
Help define a CSBG Engineering world-class Systems Engineering Team
Systems Design - Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of an integrated hardware/software systems design function.
Hardware Development: Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of a hardware development function for electronic designs, mechanical designs and/or hardware reliability.
What You'll Do
Leadership of the CSBG System Engineering groups in both Fremont and Tualatin
Development of System Engineering group's skills. Focus on increasing capability of idea generation and concept development in response to customer on-wafer specifications
- Awareness of other cutting-edge developments in Lam's C&F Teams (Etch and Dep)
- Utilize common modules for new CSBG products and life extension of products
Technical owner of complex hardware, software and process programs (Partner with Process Tech Owner)
Working closely with Process Engineering and assigned Technical Owners on hardware concepts needed to achieve product performance requirements
Generation of IP for Lam, innovative ideas to advance product performance, extend product life and lock-in Lam spare part contracts
Who We're Looking For
* Minimum of 15+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 12+ years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8+ years experience; or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Lam Etch and Deposition product development Engineering experience
Responsible for sub-system development & release
Hands-On prototyping and troubleshooting capabilities
Creative Problem Solver
Manage Expectations Up/Down
CAD familiarity, capable of spinning models
Demonstrated functionality in highly matrixed organizational structure

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
