Job Description:
NDi is seeking a Technical Writer-Trainer with a solid background in developing, writing, editing, and teaching technical material. This role will support a project team tasked with setting up an enterprise system and service for a government customer. Your contributions will be key in ensuring that accurate and timely technical training materials is developed and taught to government officials within the United States and abroad.

Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Active Secret security clearance required
- Must possess a valid and current Passport.
- This position is remote but will require up to two weeks of travel to one or more of the following locations: Hawaii (Oahu), S. Korea, Germany, Kuwait, North Carolina, Virginia, Arizona, Washington State
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in training and producing technical documentation and related artifacts
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in English, Journalism, History, Political Science, Communications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience developing training material and documentation
- General knowledge of DoD classified and unclassified networks
- Expertise in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in SharePoint and MS Teams.
- Experience creating 508-compliant documents
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Systems
- Workable knowledge writing, editing, or updating RMF documentation, including System Design Plans, POA&Ms, Configuration Management Plans, and Access Control Plans.
- Previous training experience within the DoD.
- Direct experience providing in-person and virtual training for new or existing equipment.
- Previous technical writing experience as a member of an enterprise network project.
- Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC) certification.
- Experience writing 508-compliant documents.
Responsibilities:
- Travel and Training: Work with contractors and government stakeholders to coordinate and conduct technical training for locations within the continental United States and/or Hawaii, Germany, S. Korea, and Kuwait.
- Training Duties: Only as needed, collaborate with cybersecurity and technical staff to develop training artifacts, and deliver virtual or in-person training for new government users.
- Document Development: Work with a team to research and edit several types of existing documents, including training plans, user guides, technical system documentation, process and procedure documentation, and short videos for a global enterprise IT system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams to understand documentation requirements and the products being developed. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure documentation accuracy.
- Artifacts Development: Upon request, work with your teammate(s) to assist in collecting and organizing information required for user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
- Editing: If requested, work with technical staff to edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, and other customer deliverables.
- Job Aids and Tutorials: Develop easy-to-understand job aids and tutorials to guide government technical staff through processes in different program functional areas.
- Audience-Appropriate Documentation: Assist project leadership in tailoring documentation to suit its intended audience, ensuring that content is clear and comprehensible.
- Documentation Management: Leverage the existing SharePoint repository to create, update, and manage documentation related to the project.
- Technical Proficiency: Grasp complex technical concepts and work with subject matter experts to present them clearly in text and visuals.
- Content Analysis: Analyze existing content for reuse and incorporation into new documentation.
- Communication: Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Content Creation: Create and update content based on templates and existing documents.
