Position Overview
The Technical Writer III writes various articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses. Coordinates the display of graphics and the production of the document. Ensures content is of high quality and conforms with standards. Researches new developments in industry-standard tools and current best practices for creating online help systems.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree (may substitute equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of seven (7) to nine (9) years of experience in technical writing.
- Experience with the following development tools: Adobe RoboHelp development tool, HTML, XML, SQL, Relational databases, Java, Oracle, Visio, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and screen capture and editing tools.
- Advanced proficiency level with MS Office Products, including styles, headers, footers, tables, fields, contents, index, and cross-references.
- Ability to attend technical meetings and understand and communicate technical information.
- Excellent oral and written communication and English grammar skills.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a public trust clearance or higher.
- U.S. Citizenship (required per government contract).
Compensation:
The hourly compensation range for this position is $48.1673-$53.7404.
