Location: Dallas, TX; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA (Hybrid - 2 days onsite)

Summary

Our website has millions of views per month. We’re looking for a technical writer to create content for developers describing code samples and language syntax. You’ll help convert legacy documentation into a modern markdown-based framework. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, improving existing documentation and reference content while ensuring quality and consistency. You’ll apply your content strategy and organizational skills to keep documentation relevant, fresh, and accurate. Collaborate with product, engineering, UX, and Support teams who value documentation’s role in customer success. Work with a small team of writers in an Agile environment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, English, Journalism, or similar
• English writing skills with samples for a developer audience
• 4+ years interpreting and documenting code
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Quick learner of new technologies
• Strong content strategy skills with a customer advocacy mindset
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to quality and details
• Team player

Desired Experience

• Object-oriented programming: Apex or Java
• Component-based UI development
• Writing for a technical developer audience
• Experience with source control software like Perforce or Git
• Markdown-based publishing

Pay Transparency
