Technical Writer/Editor (Finance)

Description
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer/Editor to produce high-quality communications, publications, and reports on complex technical and research topics. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, researching, and writing technical and research-related news and feature stories for print and web publication.
- Determining content materials, selecting and researching subjects, conducting interviews, and ensuring factual accuracy.
- Planning and editing research and academic-themed magazines, publications, websites, and electronic newsletters.
- Collaborating with designers and photographers on the overall design, execution, and production of publications, including press production, mailing/distribution, web posting, and audience targeting.
- Researching university programs to identify potential story ideas that generate media and public interest, and identifying appropriate media outlets.
- Supporting major college or department initiatives by planning, researching, and writing proposals, briefing materials, and reports.
- Assisting administrators and faculty with press statements, communications, and public interviews.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical, or professional discipline.
- Knowledge obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4-year degree from a college or university, or equivalent specialized training.
- Minimum of five (5) years of directly relevant job experience.
