General Dynamics Information Technology desires to hire a Technical Writer to support the Navy Enterprise Service Desk (NESD) Program in Louisiana. As a Technical Writer, you will support the deployment, management, and extension of knowledge management programs within the organization. Our work depends on Technical Editor Associate joining our team to utilize your experience with business process analysis to draw inferences from process details and link these inferences to organizational and departmental goals.
HOW THE TECHNICAL EDITOR ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Review usage and effectiveness of knowledge management system and knowledge articles for over 300 applications with continued growth anticipated.
- Update and improve existing knowledge base(s) to enhance knowledge article content, discovery, and overall customer service and satisfaction.
- Create job aids and SOPs for incident and problem resolution.
- Identify recurring incidents and requests for prioritization of job aid/SOP creation.
- Perform operational duties in support of regulatory, security, and industry practices' compliance documentation.
- Coordinate the verification, approval, and processing of document revisions for call center knowledge base.
- Track document activity to ensure timeliness and process efficiency.
- Conduct research and analysis for new content creation and document maintenance (technical writing and editing). Provide customer support for document owners and key stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- BA/BS or equivalent years of experience.
- 0+ years of relevant experience.
- Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interim Secret Clearance is required to onboard. Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Highly organized, analytical, and logical. Quick learner who can develop creative solutions to audience needs.
- Bachelor's degree in English or Technical Writing. One or more years of relevant experience with Navy Applications.
- Onsite in Bossier City, LA or New Orleans, LA. Louisiana residency is required and living within an approximately 60 miles radius to a facility.

Salary and Benefit Information:
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $20.77 - $28.11. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
