Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Secret Cleared Technical Writer to join their team. The Technical Writer creates, revises, and edits technical documents, ensuring clear communication of technical information to diverse audiences. Responsibilities include preparing illustrative materials, conducting quality reviews, and publishing in various formats (page-based, electronic, interactive, HTML, XML, SGML). The role involves collaborating with task leads, writers, engineers, and instructors to develop sensor/system technical manuals, performing desktop publishing tasks, and researching information to develop manual outlines according to specifications and standards. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline or related field or military operations and maintenance experience with radar, communications, electro-optics, networks and information technology-based sensors/systems
• Expert knowledge of MS Office Products
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with structured authoring applications, such as MadCap, FrameMaker, or Arbortext
• Excellent attention to detail
• Possess and maintain Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
• Self-starter and engaged team member
