Responsibilities

• The Technical Writer is responsible for creating and writing various types of user documents, including how-to guides, references, manuals, cheat sheets, or instructions.
• Explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language.
• Work with customers to translate their functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Ensure new and existing publications follow established documentation procedures.
• Lead internal process documentation.
• Evaluate existing publications for quality, relevancy, and accuracy.
• Create documents from technical information provided by technical staff or ensure documents produced are consistent with formats and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree and five years in a technical or lead writing role.
• TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Proven ability to distill complex information into clear, concise text.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills; ability to work independently and deliver accurate content under deadline pressure.
• Experience designing and delivering developer-oriented documentation and working directly with development teams.
• Proficient in using multiple tools to develop base templates and manipulate output styles.
• Thorough understanding of software development (SDLC), IC ITE, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and other key contract terminology.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
