Overview
You will:
Support MCG's simpler and less complex MCG software solutions, including documentation updates and publication for up to 12 annual releases.
Revise, create, and update documentation, including preparing images using Snagit and Visio, to accurately reflect how to use MCG software solutions.
Work with the User Assistance Lead and Software Product Owner to identify required documentation updates and due dates for each software release.
Develop project schedules with the User Assistance Lead or other senior team members to ensure timely documentation updates.
Diligently adhere to a project plan, ensuring strict adherence to timelines, and consistently meet assigned deliverables with precision and attention to detail.
Research technical topics and conduct comprehensive interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), asking insightful questions, clarifying complex concepts, and gathering detailed and accurate information necessary for producing high-quality documentation.
Interview and collaborate with subject matter experts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand how clients use MCG software solutions and gather the necessary information for documentation.
Attend development standups, refinement sessions, retrospectives, and other meetings to stay informed about current and future software development projects affecting assigned solutions.
Provide ongoing work status to the User Assistance Manager, Solution Product Owner, or Product Manager.
Identify schedule and/or priority conflicts and refer to the User Assistance Lead or Manager for resolution.
Adhere to the team, marketing, and corporate style guidelines to maintain consistency in terminology and style across all documentation and ensure high-quality, error-free content.
Identify opportunities to enhance team processes and improve the quality of publications.
Detect style and usage inconsistencies and discuss them with the team for resolution.
Follow the team's content architecture, data management, and publication storage policies.
Provide backup support to team members as needed.
Continuously develop knowledge and understanding of MCG software solutions and the clients that use them.
Assist with other projects and duties as needed.

What We're Looking For:
At least 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a technology or software development environment.
Previous experience working with Agile scrum methodology required.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, content management systems, or other XML-based authoring tools such as MadCap Flare required.
Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, Computer Science, Communications, or English or a closely related field preferred.
Experience in the health care industry preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Software Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
Ability to conduct thorough research to understand complex topics and gather relevant information from various sources.
Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Ability to interpret, organize, and edit technical material for easy and practical use by clinical and non-clinical end users.

Pay Range: $57,675- $80,745
