Responsibilities
- Utilize Plant3D P&ID software to create piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for the TRISO fuel fabrication facility.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications to produce accurate P&IDs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the design process.
- Review and revise P&IDs as necessary to reflect design changes and engineering modifications.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, such as process, mechanical, and electrical, to integrate their inputs into the P&IDs.
- Perform quality checks on completed P&IDs to verify accuracy and adherence to design guidelines.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical expertise and insights.
- Support project managers in maintaining project schedules and deadlines.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Plant3D P&ID software.
Requirements
- Formal education in design, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in using Plant3D P&ID software for the creation of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Strong knowledge of TRISO fuel fabrication facility design principles and practices.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to P&ID development.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise designs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Familiarity with other 3D modeling software and other relevant design tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with chemical/industrial plant design is a plus.
- Experience in the nuclear industry is not mandatory.
